Archiving a company/contact

Archiving a contact

Please note that Companies and Contacts cannot be deleted in order to preserve data integrity. If you create a Company or Contact in error you can archive it.

There are two ways in which users can archive a contact.

  • A contact can be archived by opening the contact and selecting 'Archive' from the Actions drop-down.

  • Navigate to the Contacts Index page, the link to which is located within the Contact drop down in the main navigation menu. Options to 'View', 'Edit' and 'Archive' display beside each contact on the list. Select 'Archive'.

Archiving a company
There are two ways in which users can archive a company.
  • A company can be archived by opening the company and selecting 'Archive' from the Actions drop-down.

  • Navigate to the Companies index page, the link to which is located within the Contact drop-down in the main navigation menu. Options to 'Add an address', 'Edit' and 'Archive' display beside each company on the list. Select 'Archive'.

Archive also appears on company lines on the company index page
